Company, founded by the businessman Richard Fifer-Carles, an informative media that highlights that “for no one is a secret, the boom that our country is having, at the dawn of this second millennium, in this XXI century, the mining activity in Panama.

Invited to Panama by the Castilla del Oro Foundation, under the direction of engineer Richard Fifer, to see projects that this organization runs in the country’s interior, Ruíz Peña said that the work for the successful completion of this ambitious project has already begun.

He said that the Castilla del Oro Foundation has seen this project with great interest, for which a feasibility study will have to be done in order to renovate and convert Fort St. Laurence into a tourist destination par excellence.

Precisely, under the vision of engineer Richard Fifer Carles, the Castilla del Oro Foundation will carry out restoration works on the church tower, for which the amount of 200 thousand dollars will be invested.

Duke of –Veragua had the opportunity to observe this historic and architectonic jewel carefully, and at the end of his visit he received a scaled model of the church, with the four-scale tower it will have once they finish with the restoration works.  In these carved altars, scenes of the Sacred Scripture and caryatid are represented, which reflect the syncretism of Spanish Catholicism with the indigenous culture.

More than a hundred lectures aimed at student groups from various universities in the country, business associations, government officials, security sectors, authorities elected by popular vote, as mayors and representatives, environmental groups, as well as community leaders, have been done by Petaquilla Gold SA, to let them know directly and transparently, in the field, how they carry out each of the procedures that are part of the process of extracting gold and its security measures throughout the value chain.

In each of these seminars or lectures, delivered by national and foreign specialists working in the Petaquilla Gold SA project, led by entrepreneur Richard Fifer-Carles, including geologists, drilling engineers, mine surveyors, chemists, forestry engineers and hydraulic specialists in hygiene, industrial safety and environmental risks as well as doctors, visitors have come to know and answer specific questions related to each of the above areas which, to a large extent, has enabled them to be more clear and objective on how it is developed and were able to clarify doubts sown by the lack of a detailed, first-hand explanation by people directly involved with each of these processes.

In the Kindergarten classroom, in Coclesito  (province of Colon- Panama), Petaquilla Gold S.A. provides teaching and educational material for the Kindergarten children of this education center.
